Technology Rocks! It is an honor to be South McKeel Academy’s new technology teacher!  I am so excited about the changes that I have planned for SMA's technology lab this year!! This school year is going to be a world of inspiration, exploration, and technological growth for your children. SMA elementary students (yes, even the kindergartners) will be making digital storybooks, movies, 3D presentations, short films, commercials/PSAs, music, and so much more! They will be using computers, netbooks, digital cameras and video cameras, GPS units, and more to create projects that are integrated with their classrooms.  I am really looking forward to working with your students this year!

A little background about me...I graduated from the University of Iowa with my Bachelors in I.T. and DePaul University with my Masters of Education.  I worked for IBM as a network engineer before following my true passion in life as a teacher! I have been with South McKeel Academy since it opened in 2006. I have taught third grade, fourth grade, sixth grade and I now have the privilege of teaching technology!

I am married and have three beautiful children whom I adore! I grew up in the Midwest and moved to Florida with my family eight years ago. Going to the beach instantly became one of my favorite hobbies! My other hobbies include running, reading, technology, and (of course) trying to make the world a little greener.
