Mrs. Silveira

Hello! I'm Mrs. Silveira and I teach 7th grade Language Arts and Creative Writing at SMA. I'm so excited to be in the McKeel family for a third year. I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor's in Secondary English Education. (Go 'Noles!) I enjoy spending time with my husband and our pound puppy/mutt, Bean.

 I love teaching writing and helping my students ENJOY the writing process. Writing is one of the oldest forms of expression and it is so much fun watching students find their voices through the written word.

 I also love getting lost in a great book by getting wrapped up in a character's trials and tribulations. Books of any genre (yes, even non-fiction books) can give you such a great experience and it's so rewarding when my students learn to feel the same way.

I'm looking forward to the 2011-2012 school year at SMA!
