Pre-Kindergarten Team

It's going to be a great year in 5th grade! My name is Michelle Huffaker. I am a proud graduate of Southeastern University. I'm very excited about starting my 18th year of teaching. During my teaching career I have had the opportunity to have taught kindergarten, first and second grade. This will be my first year teaching fifth grade and I am thrilled to start this new adventure. As a teacher, my goal is to provide a learning environment where my students feel comfortable to make mistakes, experiment, question and feel safe to be themselves.  I strive to make my students feel cared for, respected, and inspired. William Arthur Wards said, " The mediocre teacher tells, The good teacher explains, the superior teacher demonstrates, the great teacher inspires.
