Having completed my second year of teaching at South McKeel Academy, I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to do what I love. Now embarking on my third year, I'm excited at what new adventures await me and gaining more knowledge and experience in the world of education. I am a graduate of Florida Southern College with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. I have lived in Lakeland my entire life with my parents and sister who are also Florida Southern graduates. I attended Medulla Elementary, St. Paul Lutheran School, and Harrison School for the Visual and Performing Arts where I played violin in the orchestra.

In many ways, I have been preparing for a career in education my entire life. Not only have my years at Florida Southern provided me with an enriching experience in gaining the latest knowledge and skills in working with young minds, but I have also grown up in the classroom with my mother as a kindergarten teacher at Medulla Elementary. Having the opportunity to watch my mother daily impact the lives of her students has inspired me to carry on her legacy in guiding children to their future successes and highest potential. My personal philosophy of education is that "every child can learn" and it’s this belief that inspires me to teach.

While teaching has definitely become a tremendous part of my life, I do enjoy a variety of other activities outside of school. I continue to play my violin in the Imperial Symphony Orchestra as well as remain physically active participating in various gym classes at Gold’s Gym. I also love to spend time with my friends and family watching movies, shopping, and cheering on my beloved Rays and Buccaneers.
