Welcome to 5th grade Wildcats! I am looking forward to another year at SMA teaching Science and Math. I earned my B.S. in Animal Science from University of Florida. I also graduated from the EPI Teacher Certification Program through South Florida State College.  I am excited for another year with the SMA family, and to be part of the Altruist house!

Behavior Expectations

The Schools of McKeel Academy recognizes and values its role in developing employable adults. We strive to help students build a portfolio of skills essential to success in the workforce.  These "Behavior Expectations" encourage students to be responsible, accountable, respectful and empathetic to others.  Coaching is provided throughout the year by faculty and staff as well as peer "House Leaders".

Behavior Expectations

1.  Follow instructions.

2.  Get along with others.

3.  Do assigned classwork and homework.

4.  Be prepared.  (Agenda completed and signed by parents, iPad charged, all communication signed and returned, necessary supplies and materials in backpack, etc.)

5.  Be on time.

6.  Be dressed in appropriate uniform clothes with belt, shirt tucked in, etc.

Students will receive an "Behavior Expectation Warning" for minor infractions. These are emailed at 4 pm daily.  Please review these with your child and sign the agenda daily.
