What a blessing it is to be a part of the SMA team!!! This is my ninth year teaching here and we are off to another great year! After graduating from the University of South Florida, I taught second and third grade for eleven years in Polk County. Then I moved to Georgia for four years and taught Middle School Language Arts. Since moving back to Lakeland eight years ago, I have had the awesome opportunity of teaching third grade at South McKeel. I have also become ESOL certified and Orton-Gillingham trained & certified. It is such a joy to watch my third graders develop strategies that will help them become "life-long learners"! OH THE PLACES WE'LL GO on our journey through third grade this year!!!
