Michelle Poppell
Principal
I’m Michelle Poppell, and it is my honor to serve as the Founding Principal of McKeel Academy Mulberry. For more than twenty years, I have been part of The Schools of McKeel Academy family and am excited to help launch this innovative new school.
I earned my degree in Elementary Education from Florida Southern College and my Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida. Throughout my career, I have served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal, with a passion for supporting students and empowering teachers.
At McKeel Academy Mulberry, we are creating a dynamic learning environment built on collaboration, innovation, and meaningful real-world experiences. Through our team-teaching model and hands-on learning opportunities, we strive to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning in every child.
I look forward to partnering with our families and community as we build a strong foundation for student success.
