Michelle Poppell
Principal
I’m Michelle Poppell, and it is my honor to serve as principal of this exceptional school. For the past twenty years, I have been part of The Schools of McKeel Academy family, and I am now in my seventh year leading South McKeel.
I earned my degree in Elementary Education from Florida Southern College and my Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida. My career has taken me from the classroom—teaching 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades—to serving as an instructional coach, where I had the privilege of supporting and empowering our incredible teachers.
I am proud to be a Wildcat and a member of the House of Lideris—the Watchmen—dedicated to protecting and guiding our school community. I look forward to the year ahead and to continuing our tradition of success at South McKeel Academy.
