It is my firm belief that every student has the ability to not only achieve, but to excel to the highest extent that they desire. It is my purpose and passion to enable this aspiration to become an actualization for every student that walks the halls of South McKeel Academy! In an effort to achieve this objective, I recall an old Native American saying I once heard that states, “Tell me and I’ll forget. Show me, and I may not remember. Involve me, and I’ll understand.†I am looking forward to working with students in an effort that they achieve their greatest potential, both academically and personally. Preparation, perserverance, and determination are foundational building blocks to acquiring such a goal.
I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, as well as, a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. My teaching experience includes three years in the Polk County School system, eleven years teaching second through sixth grades at McKeel Academy Central, and I am in my sixth year at South McKeel as the ESE facilitator/Academic Adviser.
Let's make the 2019-2020 school year, the BEST one yet!
