Mrs. Snell

1st Grade Team
michellesnell@mckeelschools.com

I am Michelle Snell and I am thrilled to be a kindergarten teacher here at SMA. I have been teaching for 27 years. I graduated from Southeastern University. I cannot think of another career I could love more. During my career as a teacher, I have taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade, fifth grade and pre-k. I have loved every minute of it and I have loved every child that has ever entered my classroom. I hope to inspire your child to love learning, to love people and to love who they are created to be!

Best Day ever! Spring Fling!

This is in honor of Mrs. Benson's birthday. We plant a sunflower garden for her. She loves sunflowers! More pictures to come as they grow!

AR CHALLENGE!

Our class has each set an AR goal of how many books they would like to read by the end of the school year. Each child brought home an AR bar graph to share with you ( in their work folders this week) and their target goal. Please help them achieve their goal by helping them read and finding books.

Here are a few ways to find AR books:

-on your book shelves at home! Use AR bookbinder.com to find the level of book

- go to the bookstore!

-the public library has a WHOLE section of kindergarten AR books

-go to Scholoastic.com and buy books. Use our class code: NV8HH

Lunch

Our lunch time is from 11:36-11:56

At this time no lunch visitors are permitted in order to give children some time to become acclimated with the routines of eating in the lunchroom.  Thank you for being patient during this time.

Visitation will open in September. At that time, please remember to come on your child's assigned lunch day.  Days are assigned based on the schedule that can be found on our school website.

Snacks and Water Bottles

Don't forget to send your child with a snack (packed separately from the lunchbox) and a water bottle to school each day.

We have a student with a sever life-threading allergy to nuts. To help keep our classroom a safe environment if possible please refrain from sending in any snacks that are made, manufactured or processed with nuts. Thank you for your help!
