Hello!  My name is Mrs. O'steen, and I am very happy to be a part of South McKeel Academy!  I graduated from Florida Southern College with a degree in Prekindergarten/Primary and Elementary Education.   In 2008, I earned my National Board Teaching Certification and in January of 2018, I completed the comprehensive training for Orton-Gillingham, a multi-sensory approach to teaching reading.  In 2020, I received my K-12 Reading certification.   This will be my 20th year teaching kindergarten, and I love it!  I have a strong passion for teaching young children.  I find it a joy to help little ones grow academically and socially through their first years of school.
