Hello Wildcats! My name is Joanna Cauthan and this is my 18th year of teaching. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. I graduated from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. After I graduated, I moved to Lee County Florida in 2007 where I taught for 16 years. My family decided to move to Polk County to be closer to family. I am grateful to have this opportunity to teach at SMA this year. My goal this year is to create a learning environment where children can grow academically, learn from their mistakes, and learn from each other.
